The Olive Branch is a small boutique grower located between Featherston and the renown wine growing region of Martinborough.

The fertile soils of this region contribute to the unique styles of award winning wines produced here which is also a contributing factor in why olives grown in this region display an intensity of aroma and purity of oil envied by many..

At The Olive Branch, we grow three varieties of Olives.
Each one with it's own distinctive aroma and taste.
All our olives are all 'Cold Pressed' to extract the oil at harvest.

Verdale

This oil has a light, fruity, herbaceous quality and is subtly and harmoniously very elegant. It displays over tones of freshly cut grass, with notes of apple and nuts. It has no bitterness and is often used with other oils to create a blend because of its natural balance.

 

Frantoio

Frantoio's flavor is characteristic of its variety - pale gold in color this variety displays a subtle distinctively peppery note. Because of its extraordinarily high cancer-fighting antioxidant value and its high concentration of oleic acid, the Californian Frantoio is often taken by the tablespoon as a nutritional supplement.

Barnea

Our Barnea oil has an elegant character with notes of green olive and melted butter. With a mild intensity and silky smooth texture this oil lends itself to a range of dishes particularly lighter foods such as fish, chicken and salads.
